Who would buy a power station snowglobe with simulated pollution (nuclear fallout?).

If it was cheaper, it might have been me.

ETA: There are only 5 left. Get your order in now!

It's a dark and stormy night and I'm watching dodgy French vampire films in the dark on my own. The thunder, lighting and pounding rain are adding a wonderful level of seasonal creep!

In other seasonal news, I have been inspired by [livejournal.com profile] sueworld2003 to make some decorations for my Halloween tree, which now sports a lovely collection of tortured souls (and some pumpkins). They came out much better than I thought, so as I'm rather pleased with them here you go (and yes, the tree is on my work desk):

So I'm sitting here. Typing. Listening to the rain and the not-so soft plink of water dripping from the light fitting in the sitting room into a bowl I think will overflow when I go to bed. The cat is fascinated.

Between this and the fact I think my car is dying too, I think I'm going to need a bigger overdraft. And a second job.

Drat it all.

So I survived my ovarian cyst operation and it seems to have gone very well. So much better than last time I had to have it done.

It’s hard to believe only three days ago I was lying in a pool of my own blood and ick (Twice. Note to self: don’t fall asleep lying on your wounds) and now I feel more or less completely fine! Hurrah for keyhole surgery and for excellent timing that means that although I’ve been signed off work for two weeks, I can’t go back until the 10th of January anyway! Plus no need to go out into all that pretty white, but annoying stuff that currently dumping itself down outside.

I'm going to finally finish watching Lost, encourage my new found obsession with The Vampire Diaries and do creative things. Yay!

Snow

I beginning to think the snow doesn't like West Hertfordshire, we seem to be the only isolated pocket of the country where the snowpocalyse has barely hit. The snow here isn't even covering the grass.

I won't take it personally.

ETA: Ooh, this is my 1000th post! Well done to me!

Yesterday, I saw a sundog!. There is a lot of camera flare, but there it is, the bright spot in the centre of the picture.

Bet you're all amazed now.

I worked from home today due to the snow. It just chucked more and more of it down over the course of the morning!

Tegan thought the snowfall was worth watching: )

Or so the News would have you think.

It's just started to snow here in the 'stead. Wish me luck.

What the hell is happening? The weather today has been bizarre.

Woke up to a world of white. Lovely. Drove to work in a bizzard. Not so lovely.

Come out a lunch, the snow has vanished, there's a huge clap of thunder and it's dumping a ton of hailstones on my head. It's raining now. Hard.

It was even sunny for a brief moment earlier.

Had an unsettling dream last night. My subconscious decided to rewrite the end of AtS in a completely different way. Spike turned evil again and betrayed everyone to the cast of Firefly, who massacred them in a pub, just because he was unhappy about the way he was being treated (I think he got back at the wrong gang myself, but it was a dream). Woke up in a strange mix of reality and fantasy. Odd.

That all sounds auspicious for [livejournal.com profile] calove's birthday. Happy Birthday! (go over to her journal to see the card I made her).

My back garden this afternoon was quite the place to be...

If anyone cares.

Thanks, [livejournal.com profile] lapetiteflower for the weather!

It took me 1 3/4 hours to go 15 mins back from work. Most of that was spent sitting on the M1. We have a steep hill behind us and I had to abandon the car at the top, but at least I'm in the warm now.

Looks like no work tomorrow! Squee!

Just hope Bob's okay to get home at 10 o'clock...

Finally, the rain has stopped! Now it's going to turn to ice overnight, I suppose.

Anyways, here's a little Spike/Tara to cheer us all up. Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] calove and [livejournal.com profile] gamiila for giving it a look over. They've both beem tired/poorly so hope you're both feeling better!

This is from the Colours challenge on [livejournal.com profile] spiketara.

Note my first use of dialogue!
